Rise & shine

People are obsessed with morning routines. We hear about them everywhere and we're intrigued by how high performers and successful people spend the first hours of their day.


If you want to be the best version of yourself and max out your productivity, morning routines are essential. Thought you don't have to wake up at 5 am and mediate to optimize your morning, unless you enjoy it. Most people don't. You have to try different things and do what works best for you.


No morning routines are identical and if you look for models, some are similar and others total opposite. It makes sense as people don't have the same constraints. Some have the early morning for themselves, others have kids and long commute. My morning routine is shared with both my kid and my husband. There're things I do alone (like journaling) and others we do together (working out or early wake, breakfast...). What makes sense to me is a kind of kid-friendly routine and having quality time with people I love before kicking off my work.


Make it simple and don't compare yourself to other people.

Also it will change overtime, you will adapt it as you go through different phases in your life, let alone in the year, and that's okay! You don't have to have a 2 or 3 hours morning routine. Start with 30 min of actions you want to get done every morning when you wake up, ideally including working on your goals and progress, and some creative work like writing or journaling.


Start your day with intention, don't live on auto-mode.
